A new all-time high
Preliminary figures published by AICM confirm that Q4 2024 marked the highest quarterly volume of private-aviation movements ever recorded at Mexico City’s international airport. Demand was driven by year-end corporate travel, NBAA regional activity, and continued growth of the US–Mexico business aviation corridor.
The numbers
- Private movements up 11% year-over-year
- International arrivals up 14%
- Average turnaround time held steady at 47 minutes
What the pressure looks like on the ground
Higher volume means tighter ramp slots, longer customs queues at peak hours, and less room to recover from delays upstream. Our ops team has added dispatcher shifts at AICM and pre-coordinates customs for operators arriving between 18:00 and 22:00 — historically the tightest window.
